Your final grade and points through the optional sixth exam are available. I will post your final grade to TechSIS on Wednesday, May 9. If you have questions about your grade, please discuss them with me before Wednesday.

Please keep this statement from the syllabus in mind:

Throughout the semester, you will have the opportunity to earn extra credit points, which may be unannounced. Extra credit points may come from additional questions on exams and/or quizzes, or from outside assignments. Because of the extra credit points, please do not ask for additional points for the final grade.

Grade Range

Because we did not write the Notre Dame essay, the total points went from 1000 to 975 points. The new grade range reflects the change in total points:

A: 878 – 975
B: 780 – 877
C: 683 – 779
D: 585 – 682
F: 0- 584

A total of 82 bonus points were available throughout the semester. The exams and the syllabus quiz were not included in your participation points. Participation points were calculated based on whether your completed online quizzes, blogging, essays, cases, and the exercise. Please review your syllabus for additional information on the calculation of your participation points.

Sixth Exam

The following students should take the sixth exam in order to improve their grade by one letter.

The sixth exam will be 40 questions and worth 100 points. It will cover chapters 4, 6, and 7, and will be on the same level of difficulty as the fourth and fifth exams. Good luck.

Points that include online quizzes for chapter 4, 6, and 7, case 4, blogging, and bonus (technology survey, Apple, course questionnaire) are available. Please click on Section 1 Grades or Section 2 Grades. If you have a question about your points, please e-mail (michael.levin at ttu.edu).

The quizzes were scored based on number of correct answers.

0 correct answers: 0 points
1 – 2 correct answers: 1 point
3 – 4 correct answers: 5 points
5 correct answers: 6 points

Please note that starting with the Chapter 11 online quiz, quizzes that you spend more than 5 minutes completing will result in, at most, 1 point. If your quiz takes longer than 5 minutes and you have no correct answers, you will receive a 0. If your quiz takes longer than 5 minutes and you have between 1 and 5 correct answers, then you will receive a 1.

Fourth Case

We will write our fourth case of the Spring 2007 semester on Wednesday. For those of you in the first section, please read Case 2-7: Mosquito Magnet (p. 274-275). You may want to look at the Mosquito Magnet website before coming to class. For those of you in the second section, please read Case 2-6: Dixon Ticonderoga’s Prang Soybean Crayon (p. 273-274). You may want to look at the Prang website or perform a Google search before coming to class.
